The HRToolbench Job Description module provides HR professionals, employees, supervisors and managers a convenient, online talent management tool to efficiently create and maintain up-to-date, comprehensive, consistent, and most important, data-rich and useful job descriptions.

  • Innovative Data Sharing: Much of the information collected in each employee’s job description is automatically shared among other HRToolbench modules saving significant time in data acquisition, assuring data consistency across human resource management functions and effectively automating many previously burdensome administrative tasks.

  • Templates, Pick Lists - Easy Creation & Editing: The Job Description module provides helpful pick lists, pre-written content and an easy user interface to encourage employees and managers to create and maintain current job descriptions. Employees and managers can elect to create job descriptions from scratch, or they can access and copy any one of 200 pre-written, template job descriptions containing all job elements, including essential responsibilities and function-specific competencies.

  • Built-in Competency Libraries and Detailed Behavioral Anchors: Comprehensive libraries of proprietary General and Function-Specific competencies are provided to enable authorized users to assign specific competencies to a job. General competencies reflect the core behaviors or skills that are required by all employees for organization-wide success. Function-Specific competencies reflect the job-specific behaviors and technical skills required for individual job success.

  • FLSA and ADA Compliance: The Job Description module also provides all necessary content and tools to comply with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

  • Automatic Approval Queuing and Viewable Audit Trail: To facilitate the job description approval process, each employee’s draft job description is automatically queued to the appropriate supervisor, manager and HR representative in the employee’s organizational approval chain. The approval status of any employee’s job description can also be monitored in real time.
