The HRToolbench Performance Management Module enables a supervisor to create a customized performance planning and evaluation form for an employee, and to manage the entire goal setting, coaching, and performance evaluation process online in collaboration with the employee. Both the supervisor and the employee have 24/7/365 access to the performance form for purposes of entering goals, progress notes, ratings and performance summaries. Employees gain a clear understanding of performance expectations. Potential performance issues and development needs can be identified, discussed and addressed quickly before they become problematic.

Personalized Employee Performance Planning and Evaluation Form:

Instead of using a standard performance form for all employees, each employee has a personalized performance form containing, among other components, essential job responsibilities and General and Function-Specific competencies that are automatically pulled from the employee's job description. This approach establishes a direct link between the employee's job description content and performance evaluation criteria. It results in a focused performance management process that is more personalized and compelling to the employee. Performance goals and metrics collaboratively defined for each employee can be aligned with the organization's strategic business priorities.

Customizable, Pre-written Draft Manager Comments:

To assist supervisors in entering comments on an employee's observed job competencies, HRToolbench provides pre-written Suggested Manager Comments for each General and Function-Specific competency. Draft comments are provided for three performance levels - Does Not Meet, Meets, and Exceeds. Managers can review the draft comments text and select an appropriate comment reflecting the employee's actual performance for each competency. Suggested Manager Comments can then be copied into the employee's performance form and edited further by the supervisor to customize the comment to the employee.

Events Scheduling and Email Reminders:

To help manage the performance review process and interactions between the supervisor and employee, HRToolbench provides an Events Scheduler that enables a supervisor to set up and schedule specific events during the performance review period. A template of possible performance review period events is provided, or events can be entered manually. Email reminders are automatically sent to the supervisor, and to the employee if desired, regarding approaching, due and past due events.

Individual Employee and Strategic Workforce Competency Analytics:

Employee competency ratings are used to identify workforce talent gaps and training needs. Various pre-configured competency reports help to quantify the competency levels of an individual employee, an organization unit or the entire enterprise. Identify competency gaps and determine employee development or workforce training needs. Monitor workforce competency gains after training to calculate the ROI on training budget expenditures.
